TGA Volunteers:

Thank you for volunteering for the Transplant Games of America. We are less then 30 days until the events begin. There has been much planning and preparation during the past year and we're so excited that you have chosen to be apart of it. The TGA is requiring that all volunteers attend a volunteer orientation. During this orientation you will receive a packet of information with volunteer duties, parking information, various maps, medical/emergency information and a volunteer waiver. We want to prepare you for your experience prior to your time-slot(s) and make sure you have the information you will need.

We have set-up many dates and times to help accommodate work schedules and vacations. Our Spectrum Health and St. Mary's employees will have access to on-site locations for their orientations. This is a volunteer opportunity and all orientations are also not paid and a requirement of the Transplant Games of America. Click on the this link to go into Volunteer Spot to schedule your orientation. This is done the same way as you scheduled your volunteer positions. All dates will close 3 business days prior to the orientation date so that there is time to prepare volunteer packets specific to each volunteer. For non-Spectrum Health/St. Mary's Hospital volunteers, I will be adding more locations and dates in the next couple days. Due to logistics please schedule your orientation at one of the non-Butterworth locations.

Prior to your orientation, please go to the TGA website at www.transplantgamesofamerica.org. Familarize yourself with the sporting events, special events, and locations. Please look at the ticket pricing and registration process. The more familiar you are with this site and information then you will be able to answer questions when approached.

Our Opening Ceremonies are being held at the VanAndel Arena on Saturday, July 28th and all volunteers are welcome to attend free of charge with their volunteer credentials or volunteer t-shirt. This will be a highlight of the games and you will not want to miss it. If you are having difficulty scheduling an orientation, please email me and we will work out a date and time. If you have a group of employees at one location that are volunteering and would like to host an orientation with your group, please email me and we will work to make this convenient, if possible.
