The 2020 Donate Life Transplant Games will not look the same this year due to the COVID-19 virus, but the transplant community will still be celebrating and honoring donors and working towards the mission of saving lives by reducing the number of individuals waiting for a transplant. In addition to living donors, donor families, recipients, transplant professionals and organizations that work each day to make organ, eye, and tissue donation a norm for the American people, The Transplant Life Foundation relies on every person to do their part in supporting our lifesaving efforts. This could mean becoming a living donor or listing yourself on your state’s donor registry. It might also mean helping educate others, caring for patients as a transplant professional, becoming a mentor or caregiver for a transplant parent or simply recognizing the vulnerabilities and strengths of the transplant community.
Our upcoming Reimagined Games will have a bigger reach than ever. Remaining safely at home, many of the competitors will be participating in communities across the country and increasing awareness locally. Our exciting new Event Hub will make internet programming available for ALL. So, if you have experienced donation or transplantation and have not been able to attend the Transplant Games or are part of a medical team or organization that makes donation and transplant possible, and you want to share the spirit of the transplant community and the lifesaving message – NOW YOU CAN!
